He would practice falls onto cardboard boxes, not large cushions or nets. I was intrigued by his description as I thought such stunts would be performed on large foam-rubber pits like pole vaulters used, but he said that wasn't the case.

I believe he got a job or two in Hollywood, but haven't seen him since then...

WHO provided and set up all those boxes so this useless stunt could be pulled off??? "Hey! Know what I did? I jumped out of a helicopter and landed in a mountain of cardboard boxes! Whaddya think about that???"
