Eventually they will somehow try to blame President Obama or Secretary Clinton. I know there are creative people here who can have some fun predicting how. I personally don't know how but know they will try.

(82,849 posts)The political reporters, by tacit agreement, will not notice: "What leadership crisis? This is the sign of a healthy party! They know they can air their minor differences in public because the Republicans are so resilient." Remember, the favored narrative is that it's the Democrats who are in disarray, while the Republicans are the party of the unified front.

Less than a year after a sweeping electoral triumph, Republicans are on the verge of ceasing to function as a national political party.
The most powerful and crippling force at work in the once-hierarchical GOP is anger, directed as much at its own leaders as anywhere else.
