It seems that he has a friend at The Nation who asked him if he might have a caption for a cover picture. Turns out he did, and they used it on the cover.

You give me too much credit. Katrina sent me the cartoon and asked for a caption. I WISH I could draw like that!!!!

(40,656 posts)I have a friend who has a business that names products for corporations. They generate a zillion names on a computer and winnow it down to the best two or three. She named Pepsi One, Pepsi One. The client hated it, fussed around for another, then went with Pepsi One because it was the best name.
I can't imagine the good feeling of naming something big like this but good on you, DFW. I will remember you when I read that issue.

(5,902 posts)My favorite has to be Crisco. He looks like he's getting ready to retaliate against Trump -and the whole room- in his own, very pungent way (Cruz, Paul, and Hickabee look like they've already noticed). Talk about a disaster area!

(18,791 posts)I think that's part of why I really like Bernie.
He lacks that dyed, "Helmet Head", perfect part, not a hair moving or out of place...
I'm not looking at politician hair and usually thinking...crook and liar!

But I won't deny that it was one hell of an honor to be asked to provide the icing!
