Ok, I'll try to explain, we were watching the World Series.....Royals at New York..... and this advertisement comes on.....a smokey environment, figures walking out of the smoky stuff.....we realize it's famous sports people!!! and I know some here don't really give a shit about sports people, but, we do. And we thought it was a really great ad. HATE NIKE...... Wish they would do better with all that they have, but really died over this advertisement. Wish I could explained it better.

(6,592 posts)I don't recognize a single one of those people, and, even though I'm sure they're fine people, I'm kinda glad I don't.

(10,164 posts)Carli Lloyd and Sydney Leroux from the US Women's National Team (football, er...soccer). I'll have another look and see if I missed any men's soccer players I should have noticed. But that's really the only sport I follow. I think a lot of those people were (American) football players.
Okay...second watch, and I spotted another I recognized, oddly enough, an American football player: Marcus Mariota. I don't follow the sport at all, but that face was pretty hard to escape last year here in Oregon!
