Rand Paul insists his dog's incessant orders to kill will not get in the way of his being President

No link...I think I heard it on CNN or somewhere.

"I don't kill anywhere near as much as I did last year, and even so, did you bother to read the stories about Hillary and that mail server?"

Mighta been Drudge or something.

But, you know what has always bothered me about the Son of Sam murders?

I'm fine with the conviction of Berkowitz, but I never read anywhere about whether the NYPD or anyone else followed up and checked out that dog.

I mean, look, he's still guilty for doing what the dog told him to do, but did ANYONE bother to go check out that dog? Maybe, and I know it's an outside chance, they could have quarantined it for a while for observation or questioning.

Now, the dog might have clammed up, but dogs don't have any 4th, 5th or 6th Amendment protections, so they could have withheld food long enough while saying, "Talk, or I am never going to throw this ball" or whatever.
