(29,582 posts)Only the most dense think their snark is so cute they need to thank someone for sarcasm. And the dial-up was just the same the second time wasn't it?

(71,611 posts)I miss it terribly. I miss my occasional day-trip up to GGNRA where I could sit on the bluff with a sandwich and view the Golden Gate as seen in many of the photos above. That day would include parking SoMa, Cable Car to the wharf, breakfast at the Buena Vista, cable car back, browsing the bookstores and doing some shopping, and just general pedestrianism ... the best walking-around city in the US.

(11,546 posts)At my old work we literally had views of the entire bay from south of the Bay Bridge all the way out past the GG bridge to the ocean. It never gets old.

(53,410 posts)I love working there! The building has huge windows and there's a view out of all the sides.
The thing I love the most is the ever changing view. It changes from minute to minute.

The first time I went across the Golden Gate, it was so foggy the only way we knew we were on the bridge was when we passed the first tower!

(3,174 posts)Means the span will be closed for about an hour.
There's an all-day celebration in Crissy Field too, which authorities say "DO NOT DRIVE TO"
May it last at least 75 more years.
