http://ncronline.org/news/women/nationwide-vigils-aim-demonstrate-solidarity-sistersS.O.S.-2-S.O.B's. Rally ...... "Support Our Sisters To Save Our Bishops"
The U.S. bishops and their U.S. election year allies are planning, apparently at papal direction, in two weeks on Friday, June 8, at noon local time well-orchestrated rallies with pre-made signs in 133 US cities in 46 states. The key details, including all rally locations, are available by clicking on at:
http://standupforreligiousfreedom.com/
Since these rallies will not likely address several major issues of concern to millions of American Catholics, all Catholics are encouraged to attend the rallies and address these other issues respectfully and boldly. To distinquish you from the heirarchy's orchestrated groups, you are encouraged for identification purposes to wear something WHITE, such as a hat, scarf, shirt, etc.
The bishops and their allies seem to be planning only to address the fabricated "religious liberty" issues already pushed so hard in the US bishops anti-contraception and anti-gay marriage crusade.
The bishops do not appear to be planning to address, among other critical issues, (1) the misguided attack on American Sisters,(2) the de facto denial of contraception for many American women if health insurance is ended, (3) the general hierarchical disrepect for women, (4) the sexual abuse of defenseless children by predator priests and the cover-ups thereof by too many bishops or (5) the mean spirited anti-gay policies of the hierarchy.
All Catholics are encouraged to attend one of these rallies in their local areas and to raise all or some of these five issues respectfully , as well as other issues they are concerned about.
Please bring friends, relatives and fellow parishioners, if practicable. Please share widely the rally information by social media, e-mail and otherwise. If feasible, please make a simple suitable sign, such as "Support Our Sisters" or "S.O.S.-2-S.O.Bs.". There will likely be media representatives there, who should be informed of your Catholic views and values, if practicable.
American Sisters are one of the few counterweights to the male dominated Church hierarchy. The Sisters need our support now. If you or anyone important to you ever benefitted from a Sister's help, please show your gratitude by atending a rally near you on June 8. Your WHITE attire will be an appropriate symbol of the purity we associate with Sisters and children, both o which groups need your support.
Here is an easy opportunity for Catholics to make their voices heard.

That would send a clear message.

(667 posts)4. Received this in email today
This came in an email from my BIL the defunct real estate speculator in Fla. (he uses my SIL's email and sends this shit to my wife because I blocked him long ago.)
These people will stop at nothing. I know this is not really the point of this thread, and I am not a Catholic, but this just pissed me off as it really upset the wife who is.

(1,361 posts)6. Maybe print up signs with Luke 20:46-47.
"Beware of these teachers of religious law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and love to be greeted in the marketplaces and have the most important seats in the synagogues and places of honor at banquets. They devour widows' houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. Such men will be punished most severely."
