There was a time, not so long ago, when politics stopped at the water's edge. No more.

Republicans have marched forward in all their incompetent glory to declare that they would do everything differently from Obama.

ISIS would be destroyed in short order if Mitt Romney or any of the present lilliputians running for Commander in Chief, if we are to believe all these decorated warriors of combat.

Everything Obama says is criticized. They could do it better. Bush and Cheney are their models. What could possibly go wrong with them in charge?

And so no act by a Democrat could be acceptable as tough enough.

Clinton was accused of wagging the dog in eastern Europe and weakness when he used cruise missiles in Africa and elsewhere.

Obama has been under constant criticism as not aggressive enough.

Bushed kept us safe, though 9/11 happened under his watch. Then he negotiated the departure of he US form Iraq.

Obama is criticizing for leaving Iraq, for Libya, for Syria. Some Republicans even said that Bush should have been given credit for killing Bin Laden. When Obama asked for a Authorization to use force in Syria, Republicans refuse to even hold a vote.

It is their policy that they own the National Security Issue. They will oppose everything a Democrat does as being weak.

the "Politics ends at the water's edge" is only in effect when Republicans are in charge.

When there is a Republican in the White House, they consider it treason to question them; when there is a Democrat in residence, they consider it treason not to.
