She and her boyfriend will be spending their time volunteering where they are most needed on the island of Lesvos. We are so very proud of their selflessness and compassion. Positive vibes and good thoughts are appreciated. Thank you.

(35,015 posts)I posted earlier that my daughter is fundraising for Syrian refugees at her school, but that's nothing compared to going to help as your daughter and boyfriend will do. I wish them well and hope they are able to provide comfort and assistance to many. Sending them positive vibes!
And please thank your daughter and students for their fundraising efforts. What a wonderful gesture!

(12,717 posts)Good for them! Tell them to take in some of the sights while they're there, too. Greece is a lovely place, and the people are very friendly. Oh, take LOTS of Euros with them, and keep it safe. Because of the ongoing debt crisis, most places prefer that you use cash rather than credit cards.
