Have to stick close to home and the phone, so I flipped on the teevee. History channel is commemorating Memorial Day with a Pawn Stars marathon, which runs a close second to MSNBC's abdication to its prison obsession. Wish I could get radio reception.

(6,530 posts)Most NPR stations are streamable... my husband is always turning on a jazz station from Hawaii. Lots of amazing stuff out there.
Pandora.com
And there's oldradioworld.com for the classic radio shows of the 30's and 40's.

If you get Logo, there's a Drag Race marathon. You'll miss the first episode, but it just got better and better this year. Pretty faces and beaded lashes are no longer enough to win.

(62,683 posts)It's my latest obsession. If you like British productions, and haven't seen it, give I a shot.

(62,683 posts)Sorry you don't like the new one -- I get so much enjoyment out of watching it -- I assume everybody feels the same as I do!
But I love all (most) British anything, especially Masterpiece.
Tell me about the one you're referring to -- I've become a Sherlock fanatic. (Get a life, gateley.)

You can record stations with it as well, to your Hard Drive.

Do you have a progressive radio station you can receive? Via the RADIO?

I did have a little bit of trouble at first because the "free" music software download wanted to trick me into also downloading along with it a bunch of offensive and advertising programs from their sponsors, (like for instance having my browser automatically switched to AOL). But it only took me a while to figure out how to re-download the softronic program without all of the "junk" coming along with it. I guess that's what I get for being a cyber amateur.
