Why is the audio missing from all the police videos released in Laquam Mcdonalds killing?

It was bad enough someone erased the fast food video, but all the audio missing makes me suspect racist commentary by the cops was removed...... Is there a way to recover the audio if they erased it?

I believe the cops intentionally blocked the mic OR erased the audio from recordings.
