Maybe the reason that Republicans hate truth and facts is...

the same reason why people believe in religion: it's not fun to not believe in it. It's not fun for people to not believe in God and follow a religion because they will thus have to accept that there is no afterlife and they and their loved ones will die forever. Truth and facts can be brutal.

Thus, it's not fun for Republicans to believe in truth and facts because if they accept truth and facts, they have to accept that they are totally wrong about the world, that they are gold standard idiots, that they are a dying breed (percentage of Americans that are white christians is rapidly going down), that America is rapidly changing and cannot be stopped. They are terrified of accepting truth and facts, so they stay in their bubble and continue to believe in their fantasies and happily eat up whatever FOX News serves them.

practicing Christian is "fun," then you've not seen a true practicing Christian.

And I'm sorry, but for a person who is a stickler for facts, you seem unaware that your claim to "no afterlife" has not been proven.

Not that you are wrong, mind you; just that you have no FACTUAL basis for your assertions.
