1. It would be interesting

to compile an accurate account of how many accidents (and not just while driving) that texting is a catalyst for. Things like walking into an open manhole!

2. I've seen more than a few people walk into light poles or store mannequins while texting.

3. Well, it certainly could be, in that picture, the parents that show up at School...

to drop off kids in the AM or pick up their student or attend a child's function at school.

I worked at a preschool where parents were asked to come ever so often and help at their child's
class recess.
It broke my heart to see a little child standing next to a parent on the playground waiting for
the parent to get off the phone and play with him/her; sometimes standing there all recess.

that old comic strip detective. Remember his "two-way wrist radio"??? And we all thought : How cool would THAT be, eh???? Well, we've leap-frogged that simple technology and it's NOT cool.

When I see kids at the playground it pretty much like how it has always been. I don't see them texting, and I'm sure none of them have a cell phone.

This is just old folks throwing a "kids these days" fit.
