Thaddeus McCotter, the GOP douche bag whose bright ideas included forcing children in foster care to buy clothes exclusively in used clothing stores, failed to submit the required number of signatures to be placed on the August 7 Primary ballot. What a loser! He's been a congressman for 10 years and his re-election was a sure thing. It couldn't happen to a nicer fellow.

(1,033 posts)It was assumed Thad would win and win big this year, so with him out, we have a really good chance to turn the district blue. It's exciting.

(5,763 posts)An argument Repubs have always used is that they know how to run businesses, so of course they know how to run efficient government.
The entire Repub presidential primary was like this. Votes being lost, not counted, etc.
These dumbasses and psychotics aren't fit to govern a shoe store.
Something, isn't it!

(6,119 posts)"What an awesome development. Kerry Bentivolio (previously iCaucus endorsed), just may be the only Republican running in CD-11. Presidential primary washout and Romney water carrier, Thesaurus McModerate, appears to not have collected the necessary 1,000 valid signatures to be on August primary ballot."

Hopefully this will result in a Dem pickup in November.

(27,433 posts)plenty of signatures in a closet somewhere to get this douche on the ballot. Since when do freaking rules matter to Republicans?
KamaAina
(78,249 posts)But he would need to win more votes than the other Republican who filed to run and also get a minimum threshold of votes 5 percent of all votes cast in the top-of-ticket race in the district, most likely the U.S. Senate primary for Debbie Stabenows seat.

(16,152 posts)All I could do was laugh because they haven't recalled ANY of them and indeed, couldn't even get enough interest to go out and collect signatures this time around.
Of course, when one is already a congressman and fails to get the sigs, that's pretty epic.
