Today is 'Giving Tuesday'.

And though I know a lot of folks are mainly doing their 'giving' this season to political candidates, now is a good time to pop open the wallet for your preferred charities as well.

I just did a donation at the Thunder Valley CDC (where I think CDC stands for Community Development Center) to help them meet a 1k matching donation grant from the First Nations Development Institute. Thunder Valley is "Empowering Lakota youth & families to improve the health, culture and environment of our communities, through the healing and strengthening of cultural identity."

If helping Native Americans isn't one of your highest priorities, though, there are plenty of other worthy charities out there. Help Giving Tuesday be a success for charitable organizations this year, and 'pay it forward' to help those who have less.

These are the charities that I like to donate to as well:

No Kid Hungry, Second Harvest, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, amfar to name a few. Or, there is Just Give, which has a variety of charities to donate to and ways to give .
