(7,018 posts)it a rumor. Whether true or not, the fact remains that DWS is doing her level best to
prevent Sanders from having more exposure to the public -- exactly what the
Republicans are also doing. And she is helping them to do their dirty work.

(30,481 posts)Why would I be disappointed? Cal33, if you believe this, the disappointment isn't mine. Well, maybe with my fellow progressives.

(45,251 posts)Americans seem to believe that enough calls and emails will cause someone in power to alter his, her or their agenda and therefore his, her ot their actions, vote or whatever. IMO, there is less basis for this belief than there is to believe the Noah's Ark story literally.

(30,481 posts)But when the "rumor" isn't believable in the first place, were you really fooled?
You might want to read the disclaimer at the places you get your news. Here is a copy and paste from where you got this garbage. They call themselves a satirical site for the politically aware. Those with limited knowledge to politics could be "tricked." lol.
Is The Nil Admirari real news?
Really?
Let's put it this way... do not mention TNA in any future legal troubles.
Cal33
(7,018 posts)two debates so far was on a weekend. The weekend debate netted only one-third the number
of watchers of the weekday debate.
DWS has shown that she is not capable of being fair and impartial. She is doing her best to
give Sanders as little exposure to the public as possible.

(30,481 posts)Here is your "rumor." It's just too funny at this point.

(33,688 posts)"Borowitz again" was my first thought.
I have no doubts it's a fictitious/satirical/joke report. Clear now?
It's also something that COULD sound nearly plausible given DWS' utterly corrupt nature.
NCTraveler
(30,481 posts)No, it isn't. But I appreciate you elaborating on your doubts with this issue. This op and some of the replies have brought great comedy to my Weds afternoon.

(33,688 posts)And the best satire always has a hint of the truth in it, and has since Jonathan Swift.

(33,688 posts)- who happens to be a very well-known satirist - do you NOT UNDERSTAND?
From Jonathan Swift to "Idiocracy" the best satire always contains a grain of truthfulness. That is what MAKES IT FUNNY.
Bradical79
(4,490 posts)DWS has been pretty terrible, but that would be a new level of stupid. I don't think Clinton or Sanders would agree to that. I do want more primetime debates, so I'll still write.

NOW its suddenly about 6 debates!
Just self delete.
You can't walk back that totally False OP.
Complete b.s.OP, intending to flame bait.

(60,949 posts)Each candidate would be called at 3 AM - obviously by 3 different people -- and asked to respond to a fixed set of identical questions. All being things like -- The levee just broke and city X will soon have major problems, what is your plan? Or Country X just invaded country Y, what is the US response.
Then -- the questions and the three ( optionally audio only) responses would be put together - so you get the question and three independent answers. Best yet -- when compiled, the show could start with a variation of the Clinton 3 am ad.
Needless to say, no campaign would agree -- and if they agreed, it is no longer a complete surprise.
NCTraveler
(30,481 posts)To be honest I like to see them scramble and squirm a little bit. lol

(60,949 posts)and not something anticipated, it would show some measure of how they would handle it. However, in real life, the first step would likely be getting the appropriate people in the room with the President. (ie the national security team for the international problem)
To some degree, a President is really only as good as the people he puts in place -- and his ability to calmly and effectively get the most insight from these people to make the decisions that he/she must make.

(7,018 posts)having more publicity -- which is also what the Republicans are doing. MSM mentions Sanders as
seldom as possible.
MineralMan
(151,200 posts)Yet you posted contact numbers, etc. and tried to get people to act on this silliness. What did you expect to accomplish? It's ludicrous to even suggest that they'd schedule debates at such a time. So ludicrous that it's clearly satire.
It's best to think first, and then act, I think.
If you MUST run with this, please contact DWS at DNC HQ. Her Confrssional staff cannot address party matters.

Cal33
(7,018 posts)true or not, the fact remains that DWS scheduled only 6 debates. This fact cannot be changed.
The Republicans are also doing their best to give Sanders as little exposure to the public as
possible, and DWS is helping them to do their dirty work.
