(8,340 posts)I've experienced it twice in my life, once with a flock of birds that are usually very skittish. And once with a herd of about 20+ wild horses running towards me. It was exhilarating. And humbling. I felt so honored that they trusted me (and in the instance with the wild horses, I also trusted them not to hurt me).

I wonder if dad gorilla took the family on a little outing to see some humans, he had to know that there were going to be tourists in that area, heck it's a "hiking path" or something.
Dad: "you see son they are mostly harmless, but don't get too close"
Mom: (as she sticks out her tongue) "I wonder what they taste like?"
