BBC News uses 'Iraq photo to illustrate Syrian massacre'
The BBC is facing criticism after it accidentally used a picture taken in Iraq in 2003 to illustrate the senseless massacre of children in Syria.

Photographer Marco di Lauro said he nearly “fell off his chair” when he saw the image being used, and said he was “astonished” at the failure of the corporation to check their sources.

The picture, which was actually taken on March 27, 2003, shows a young Iraqi child jumping over dozens of white body bags containing skeletons found in a desert south of Baghdad.

putting an Iraqi massacre up for a Syrian massacre
and thinking you could get away with it

whats one more massacre...it is the use of the photo to instill emotions from the reader

and the irony is that Britain participated and helped bring the Niger documents to Bush regime
so the Iraqi War could be started against the dictator Hussein

Hussein dictator ....has a certain ring to it

bawling about the Syrian deaths.
Yesterday the BBC completely ignored the protester who called BLIAR a war criminal - they are pretending that didn't happen.

We do not intend to forget

is why would Assad in the face of international pressure and UN visitation carry out the massacre. I know most people think he is a mad man but even mad men tend not to do things that will get em killed and sodomized ala Gaddafi. I am sorry to say this but I don't believe a word about this massacre cos all I know they could have used actor and just dead babies from the morgue to stage this.

And just lets assume he actually committed all those killings, why leave the evidence for the opposition to video tape? they are just infants, just put em all in a nap sack and take em out with your pickup truck. This is babies in incubator all over again and lets all hope the world doesn't fall for it once again

He is probably thinking all those dead women and children will act to demoralize the opposition.

I am sure they would know if a couple dozen of their women and children got missing, he didnt need to leave gorey evidence like that. Leave the dead children to be video taped is just about the same as signing your death warrant. If a lot of people believe this story, the world is going to descend upon Assad like you cannot imagine. Killing women(raping em too) and children is just about the 2 worst things you can do to turn pacifist into war hawks and when pacifist turn into hawks, your arse is toast.

until the are removed from office.

You can't depend on a dictator to commit big enough or creative enough atrocities to catch the attention and spark the outrage of Americans & Europeans, so they've got to gild the lily. Even more likely, the propaganda campaign was rolling well ahead of any current atrocities, so they just roll out what they had scheduled in any case. Sort of like Bush saying Saddam wouldn't let the weapons inspectors back in even after he did.
