A Tampa Bay Times November 28 article recounts how “thousands cheer[ed] on insult-throwing Donald Trump at [a] Sarasota rally” on Saturday. There is little need to recount the countless inciting statements made by Trump over the last few months. His words combine cunning and brutality, giving his audiences license to hate and commit acts of violence (as he did when he commented that it was okay to “rough up” a Black Lives Matter protester at a rally because he “deserved” it).

It’s not Trump alone who is creating a society that may destroy itself through fear, hate and anger and the suffering that ensues. Columnist Bob Koehler writes in a BuzzFlash commentary today about how violence underlies the foreign policy outlooks of Republican and Democratic politicians alike.

Given that violence and genocide were the basis of the colonization of what is now the United States, it should be no surprise that hate and brutality lie just under the surface of the so-called civil white society. This country’s second original sin – the horrifying institution of slavery – is also built into the foundation of white supremacy on which the US was built.

I have endured the seething ignorance for some forty years. I have suffered the humiliation the dissapointment in people I admired.. I am glad they are out of the closet.
I have so many fewer fake friends. I just hope that when they look back on this time in their lives, they become sufficiently embarrassed.

Hate is the underlying emotion they use to justify their subjugation of others. Hatred is the dominant force in their taking of absurdly more than they need to the denial of others' needs. Hate is what they feel in order to connive, brutalize, rape and steal from others. Hate is what they use to continue to destroy the earth and all its inhabitants. Hate is the ruler of their endless wars. Hate is the dominant emotion of the Economic Royalists. From this place of hate they have done immense damage, like a wrecker destroying everything in their path. They hate, they have hated for thousands of years and they defend their hatred with every fiber of their beings.

Love is the answer. Shift your focus to Love and keep your focus in Love.

The violence will escalate. Why would they not attack us when our own Republican candidates call for as much or more terrorism. We have bombed destroyed countries, killed hundreds of thousands of men women and children.

they are the only ones he dare speak out against loudly. Make no mistake, if this man is elected anyone who does not have white skin or speaks out against him will be a target eventually. And I fear for my children and grandchildren. I never thought that we would be ruled by someone with his ideas.
I have people in my life poo-pooing my belief that Trump is a dangerous man. I keep hearing ( He's a buffoon, a clown he will never be elected) my only reply? There were people who saw the writing on the wall in Germany and they were told the same thing by their friends and neighbors. I will follow my grandmothers advice. Hope for the best but prepare for the worst.
