Former governor released from solitary confinement.

'Former Alabama Gov. Don Siegelman has been released from solitary confinement in federal prison.

Siegelman’s son, Joseph Siegelman, said Thursday that his father was released from solitary last week after spending eight weeks in confinement at a Louisiana prison camp.

According to his son, Siegelman was placed in solitary after calling a talk show in October and repeating his claims of innocence in the interview.

Joseph Siegelman said his father will not be allowed to have phone calls or family visitation until after the holidays.

Joseph Siegelman was able to briefly speak to his father briefly since he is a member of his legal team.

Siegelman, 69, is serving a 6 ½ year sentence for bribery and obstruction of justice. He has a projected release date of Aug. 8, 2017.'

threat that the Rethugs are using as a payback for going after Nixon and Impeachment talk against Cheney and Bush. Washington works is stupid ways. Democrats in certain areas of the U.S. are always looking over their shoulders if they have a Rethug Appointed Judge in their Districts, and,if there is a active conspiracy oriented AG hanging around. Hunch there is a ton of crap yet to come out on this hit job and it might involve a Democratic Congressperson of a local powerful Democratic operative. Great example of how the Fourth Estate has failed.

This is American justice? 8 weeks in solitary confinement for a white collar crime that hurt no-one.
Siegelman didn't make me lose 20% of my retirement fund.
The f'n banks did.
One of the most glaring miscarriages of justice in my memory.

Eight weeks in solitary confinement? Someone is really afraid of the truth coming out.
