(18,318 posts)My Mom told of a distant relative who was driving his Model T when he suddenly passed out for two seconds, then re-awoke. He didn't remember what had happened, but agreed to see the doc. Turns out he was diabetic. Even 80 years ago, doctors were familiar with mini-comas, an indicator of the disease. He lived a longer life because of at least some decent treatment.
