That is an estimated number of Democrats who will not support Hillary Clinton, as of now. 14%.

I would like to register my opinion on these 14 percent, but for some reason they can rail against Hillary Clinton all day long and I am not allowed here to say what I think of that.
There's something very messed up about that.

(16,286 posts)is the nominee and not Bernie, my choice, then you should NOT be on DU
the rules even say so

(11,746 posts)However I have seen a lot of strange things here and I'm not seeing that we have learned a damn thing.
A very small group of radicals is making way too much noise.

(11,746 posts)Yes I agree. But the last time we had this scenario I raised that rule and, well, it didn't work out.

(29,503 posts)Only for the period of time between the primary and Election Day - that's IT, and that's not really much longer than a long vacation.

(11,746 posts)All I know is I'm in the vast majority of Democrats and here at DU I'm treated like dirt for that.

That boggles my mind.

(3,660 posts)This place mirrors FR far more than it likes to admit. Dominated by ideologues on the far fringes of their respective parties just waiting for that REAL Democrat/Republican to be nominated so the people will awake to wanting uncompromising doctrinaire extremes and vote like true believers. Echo chambers do that. They convince poeople that every right-thinking human in the world would abandon their 10-term Representative if they just knew how he voted on HR 3457 that raised a mass transit fee from a poor neighborhood 3c or was actually polite to a Muslim once. That a presidential candidate will rise or fall on whether 3 or 8% of their money comes from banks or unions. That people would and must cut off relatives from their life immediately if they ever use the word "bitch" even as a verb, or if they don't immediately follow Hillary's name with it every time they hear it. People on ideologically pure sites are just so damn wrapped up in either thinking that mentioning Muslims as a group aren't too hot on the question of gay rights is unforgivable Islsmophobia and, bizarrely, racist, or thinking that mentioning Muslims aren't each and every one willing if not planning to skin alive a thousand Christian babies to destroy the west is being a nancy-boy commie pinko subversive that they just can't see reality and gauge real public reaction if it bit them on the fucking nose.

(10,362 posts)Frankly after seeing what's going on at the DNC, if nothing is done, I'm leaving the party altogether. It simply doesn't represent me anymore.
I will gladly vote for a real progressive, if the DNC wants to give them a chance.
My grandparents were New Deal Democrats. If they were alive to see this, they'd be outraged. FDR must be rolling in his grave to see what a disgusting, divisive thing the party has become.

(11,746 posts)I don't think it's right to proselytize.

(10,362 posts)Just saying how I feel. Don't expect anyone to follow me. If the DNC hacks are reading this, they should know how I feel.

(23,745 posts)wild horses could not keep me from voting for Hillary........ especially considering the competition.
You are a Democrat!
I know it's hard when I'm dying to do a thing even though I think it's totally wrong when other people are doing that thing to me.

(72,790 posts)I just don't like her.
If she wins, fine. I would have no issue with that. She would be better than any R. I live in CT. The DEM nominee will win my state so it's a win for the party.
Cary
(11,746 posts)The Republicans are that bad. It is that simple.

(72,790 posts)if Hillary is the nominee, I hope she wins the presidency. And she sill def win my state. So, that's good thing, even if I don't like her.

(16,399 posts)There is always a segment who refuses to believe their guy/girl won't lose, so they will not even entertain the thought.
I don't doubt there are a purists who will hold to the anti-Hillary stance. Some of them barely know the names of the Rethug candidates. They only know what they want to.
