(20,176 posts)Silence is consent. Demand that he be restored and that those that have been alert-stalking Sanders supporters...and the Admins know who they are, be banned as malicious intruders. All of them.
I do realize that will raise the rate of Sanders support at DU from 89% to virtually-100% but they must not be allowed to continue to disrupt.
I will not consent to our continued purge. Cali got it too (edit: Untrue, but it has been posted a few different places on DU in the last hour or so. Wishful thinking on some people's part, I guess.) and I've been explicitly told today that they are committed to alerting everything I post from here on out until they get me too.

131. Absolutely not
I'm a Democrat. He is NOT a Democrat. I wouldn't vote for him if you held a gun to my head, just like I would never and have never voted for a republican in my 38 years of voting. In fact in the minuscule chance that he was nominated I would never give another red cent to the party, knock doors, or phone bank for Dems.
Not in a million fucking years. And frankly, at least 50% of that feeling could be credited to his supporters who have spent the last several years smearing the shit out of real Democrats.
So no, never, ever, ever would I vote for him. Never.

This is an abusive insulting attack, it is also accusing the other poster of being involving in the PPR of Manny, and accuses him of planning more bannings. It also calls out Cali for absolutely no reason as the next target.
Look, this is very inappropriate. Skinner has said nothing about banning Cali or having a list. Just hide. I have no idea why this crap is allowed.

Being banned from a website can be no less. It is indeed, the fulcrum of modern ethics and the meter of our consciousness.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS
"hit list"
A forum host, and a host of two groups, is attacking admin as partisan in their tombstonings. This is way over the top for someone who wants to be respected as a host.
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Sat Dec 19, 2015, 01:53 PM, and the Jury voted 1-6 to LEAVE IT.
Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I'm not sure what's going with all the "tombstoning", as I haven't really been paying attention to it. That said, I don't see the post in question as particularly disruptive or hurtful, or any of those other adjectives. Perhaps it's a bit confrontational. But I don't think it should be hidden.
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: This sentiment seems to be e erywhere on DU today, can't hide one and leave the rest
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: The very existence of this thread indicates a de facto community standard that sanctions gravedancing. Similar latitude ought to be granted to those shocked by losing a longtime DUer.
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Manny is, and always has been, a traitor to the party. His ban from this site for Democrats is long overdue.
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: The post might be uncool and unwise but I don't see it as a TOS violation.
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given

(26,582 posts)Unfortunately, there are some people here who who say they won't support the nominee and actually won't. As we explained above, our feeling is that we want to give people the benefit of the doubt. But if you convince us that you actually mean it and you really aren't going to support the nominee, then we're going to treat you like you actually mean it. That person who started the OP telling people to sign the pledge that they won't support the Democratic nominee was very convincing, and is no longer a member of DU.

If 3 others had hidden it, it probably wouldn't have attracted attention, on two counts.
1. It would have vanished. Silently. No further action required.
2. It wouldn't have created the ruckus that it did, producing a call for any further action.
As it is, it showed that "community standards" in that forum are becoming distinction non-Democratic and distinctly pro-Sanders. It's not Sanders Underground. While the "d" in Democratic Underground sometimes veers to "Democratic" and not just "democratic," the TOS are clear and the purpose of this board are clear.
