I've posted about contacting the DOJ multiple times, only to be met with a lot of whining: "ohhh that won't help!" or "yea, good luck with that!". But no one has offered any alternative suggestions or ideas about what to DO. Doing something is better than sitting on our butts whining on DU isn't it? I mean I appreciate DU, for giving us all a place to whine and gripe but nothing will change if some action isn't taken. Oddly, when it comes to taking action, there's a lot less interest in that than in just passive griping. With all the social media at our disposal and DU having as many members as it does, it sure seems like something could be done or more attention could be brought to this issue somehow. But maybe I'm just, you know, a Pollyanna.
Anyway, I'm going to email DOJ again - this time at the above email address. I'll probably send a paper letter and/or call too. If they're bombarded with enough of these 'complaints', maybe some little thing might change. I keep thinking about this guy:

And others like him.
Anyway, I'll do my part and if I'm the only one that does well, then I can at least say I did my part.

(15,189 posts)That the DNC gets go towards taking those who got a mailer that said they couldn't vote, to help them straighten this shit out? My guess is these people won't get an answer till after the vote. The DNC needs to keep track of those people who got the notice that they weren't citizens so they can help them right this wrong. Along with bringing some ACLU attorneys with them, and then file lawsuits against those that scrubbed them from the voting lists.

(4,982 posts)...It would be best that something be done to help these people *before* the election rather than later - since the idea of their being tossed off the rolls by Scott is to keep Obama from winning via keeping Democrats from voting in November.
It's easy to send them email and/or post on their facebook page or tweet them, particularly about Mr. Bill Internicola as well as others who won't be able to vote in November if no action is taken, and about the increasing boldness of this 'voter cleansing' practice, particularly since it worked so well for Republicans in 2000.
They'll have to be flooded with messages/tweets/emails/letters - some or all of the above before they'll get off their butts and do anything. I've tweeted that link to the article to @BarackObama earlier today.
