Sometimes I think they're pro-forced birth just to make a big show of how "righteous" they are and absolve themselves of all the hate and contempt they have for people and the world around them. It's another way to use others to serve themselves.

Same old story; they are the most 'precious', 'wonderful lives' as a ball of cells but when born with financial/medical needs they don't want to hear about them ever again and get kicked to the curb.
I am so fed up with people this holiday season I could scream.
Sorry, the 3 knee injections I was administered today aren't helping.
Hopefully they will eventually, but right know I'm hurting, icing and complaining.

(5,909 posts)Disgusting.
There is no way I believe the city would draw water from the Flint River without testing it first, although nothing surprises me anymore.
Love this statement by Gov. Dan Snyder's secretary:
Flint residents need to have access to safe, clean water, Murray wrote in an email to The Post. Gov. Snyder and the administration have been working closely with the city to focus on health issues affecting children and other city residents, and address water infrastructure challenges.
That was made on Oct. 8, after the residents have been 'using' the water after boiling which doesn't remove the lead and may actually increase it, while poor families who couldn't afford bottled would drink it!
This makes me ill. Lead poisoning is BAD news. Great quote from the class action lawsuit:
For more than 18 months, state and local government officials ignored irrefutable evidence that the water pumped from the Flint River exposed [residents] to extreme toxicity, the complaint reads. The deliberately false denials about the safety of the Flint River water was as deadly as it was arrogant.
Calling officials conduct so egregious and so outrageous that it shocks the conscience, the complaint cites the specific experiences of a few plaintiffs and their families, all of whom allege they have been challenged by similar health ailments since high levels of lead and copper entered their bloodstreams.
I missed this story so thank you for the link. I asked my husband and he said he read it on Kos a couple of weeks ago (sorry Skinner!).
Will hopefully look forward to a favorable outcome but it still won't take back the long-term effects.
