THAT is the question that needs to be asked of people in the middle and lower classes who vote Republican. Because pointing out how Democratic policies do improve their lives doesn't seem to make an impression.
The follow-up question is, "are you OK with the fact that Republican policies take money and benefits out of your wallet and hand them over to billionaires?"
And the final question - which gets to the heart of the matter - is, "how likely do you think it is that you yourself will some day be a millionaire or billionaire?" Sadly, the majority of not-wealthy people in this country believe that wealth is just around the corner for them, so they vote for Republican policies because they don't want to upset the elite apple cart...because they believe they themselves will be enjoying those apples in the future.

They realize that they will never be millionaires, they just want to be better off than somebody and the republicans let them think they will be.
