The story of one trump supporter struggling to get by

I initially stumbled upon Harwood on Twitter. The Social Security Administration had tweeted about disability insurance, and Harwood responded with a YouTube video claiming that the SSA was jerking him around.

The difficulties people face in getting benefits have been ruthlessly engineered into the system by the very conservatives Eric Harwood would support for the presidency in 2016. These politicians have convinced their followers that there is nothing worse than $427 in monthly benefits being paid out to someone who doesn't "deserve" it. We can waste billions on unworkable military hardware, flush more billions down the drain in payouts to mercenaries, and relieve insanely profitable corporations of billions of dollars in tax liabilities, but if some scam artist beats the government out of an extra nickel, it's time for another Boston Tea Party!

Well Mr. Harwood, it seems that you have arrived at the bitter destination your conservative friends have been designing and building for you these last 35 years. Perhaps you should re-evaluate your support for these cruel policies?

And by the way, every penny you raise on a GoFundMe campaign will count against you as income when your finances are evaluated for eligibility for benefits, even if the money just goes to pay for your past living expenses and you never see any of it show up in your own pocket. Isn't that nice?

while Mr. Harwood may have some valid complaints, it's strange that he's blaming Obama instead of the conservative politicians who despise people like Mr. Harwood - heck, fucking over people like him is part of their party platform

Look to the 1% and those exploiting you and the system- idiot with superficial reasons for the circumstances he's in. He has a skill -locksmithing - that allows him to set up his own business. I wonder what type of "pain" this man is suffering from? I, and I am sure many of you out there, worked thru our pain, gritted our teeth, and showed up each day. I know I did.

not "pain" in quotes, but sering, life stopping pain.
Kind of hard to run a business 12-15 hours a day when you can't move because of pain.

On the 9ther hand he is a political moron.

worker with only his labor to sell who will rarely if ever achieve class consiousness

Lumpenproletariat is a term that was originally coined by Karl Marx to describe the layer of the working class that is unlikely ever to achieve class consciousness and is therefore lost to socially useful production, of no use to the revolutionary struggle, and perhaps even an impediment to the realization of a classless society.
