Afterall, Rahm would not have won without the support of Obama and his supporters. If Rahm does not resign it is hard to imagine Obama and the Black leadership not supporting him again. Black voters were the only traditionally democratic constituent group Rahm won, and Obama campaigned for him vociferously.

(1,967 posts)If he does, I don't see how this won't create conflict with BLM.

(31,454 posts)apple, but why drag PBO & "black leadership" into it? Rahm was duly elected, and it's apparent he's not going to resign anytime soon, so maybe you guys can go after him another way? Using BLM to further your own agenda is nothing short of disrespectful.

(1,967 posts)I didn't make Rahm cover up the video tape of the cop shooting that kid either. That sort of thing just tends to inspire protests from blm.

(1,967 posts)Obama campaigned for him. It unlikely Rahm would have won if Obama hadn't done that. Rahm would not have won without the black community voting in the majority for him. If Rahm does not resign it is hard to imagine that Obama and other black leaders will not support him again, or are you saying they won't? It is hard to see how supporting Rahm again will not inspire a rift with blm. They constitute the majority of protesters demanding resignation right now.

(68,868 posts)In any event, Obama will be out of office by the time Rahm is up for re-election.

(1,967 posts)is a bit Nixonian? You don't think that represents protecting a police officer who unfairly murdered a young black man? Even Bernie Sanders your avatar thinks it was bullshit and says he doesn't want support from the likes of Rahm.
