With the domestic terrorism situation that’s currently under way in Oregon being almost entirely ignored by local and federal law enforcement, the people have taken to the social media airwaves to call a spade a spade.

While #OregonUnderAttack was trending for most of the day on Sunday, another tag soon followed as a way to combat the reluctance to call a bunch of white men waving around guns at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge terrorists: #YallQaeda. The tag is dumb, yes, but so are these people.

49. Denying militia groups the confrontation they crave

is the better policy. Conservative militia groups are counting on backlash when they finally get the government to kill a few of them. Nothing worked better for them than Ruby Ridge and Waco. They want nothing more than to provoke a massive response so they can claim to be persecuted.

Remember at the Bundy Ranch, when they bragged they were preparing to put the women (???) in front to make sure they got shot first? That's what they want. Dead cowboys, standing up for their warped interpretation of the Constitution. Which is why that's the last thing we need to give them.

But somehow we don't understand the concept of backlash when it comes to Muslims. Trump's out there suggesting we assassinate whole families, and Bush wants a "Christianity test" for refugees. Islamic extremists couldn't ask for better propaganda to attract people to their cause.

Every single militia member who took part in "seizing" Fort Giftshop needs to go to prison, as do all the ones who aimed rifles at BLM agents on the Bundy Ranch. But there's no need to wipe them out while they're just freezing their camouflaged butts off and issuing veiled threats on Facebook.

These are not Oregon Militiamen, they are from Nevada and Arizona, they are operating in Oregon. The local townspeople are not
supporting this and tried to stop it at a reasonable town meeting, using non violent strategies. The people of Harney County are friendly peaceful good folks. They have lived for about 150 years together in small towns and ranches where people with strong opinions get the rough edges rubbed off for the sake of community.

These people have always been sweet and friendly to we city people who came to have Thanksgiving for years at the Malheur Wildlife Refuge. It is a beautiful, peaceful place, a paradise. As a fourth generation Oregonian I resent that the media keeps saying these
militia are from Oregon. I would like to see some lables like: Outsder Militiamen operating in Oregon. I feel sorry for the good people of Harney County that have to put up with this mess.
