I hope to visit there one day. From what I hear, just checking out the local breweries would make an excellent trip.

these places:

Tucked away in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont sits a brewery many consider the mecca of craft beer. Shaun Hill, the Founder and Head Brewer at Hill Farmstead, has been on top of the beer world ever since he opened his doors to the brewery more than five years ago. Since then, beer lovers from around the country have made the pilgrimage down the dirt roads of Greensboro Bend, Vermont to get a hold of his beers.

And don't want to drive to a remote area but to Nyc you Might just check out Other Halfs All Green Everything. But hill farmstead is absolutely where it is at. Been finally getting them in my local bars, but still difficult to find bottles. Got a few cellared nonetheless

My favorite VT story. If memory serves, this happened in Burlington. Some college kids decided to renew the pass time of streaking. Much uproar "Think of the children!!" etc. The mayor answered, "Not to worry; they won't be at it much longer. Autumn's almost here."

Visit during foliage season. The landscapes will knock your socks off - one of nature's masterpieces.

Which makes sense given that Minnesota's first white settlers were from New England and generally it is the cultural norms of the first wave of settlers that remains dominant in spite of later waves of settlers and immigrants.

Bernies headquarters across the street. And who was there for for a photo op??

Gov. Dean was hanging with the Bernie crowd. As far as I am concerned, he is not welcome.

We're not the Hillary camp with hit lists and vendettas to settle. Dean was the Governor of Vermont, launched his presidential bid from Burlington and has known Bernie for years.

Maybe the other way around. Dean is much better known than Sanders.
