While trying to inspire pupils at an Iowa elementary school Thursday, Ben Carson managed to publicly shame a 10-year-old.
Students and parents packed a room at Isaac Newton Christian School in Cedar Rapids to hear Republican presidential candidate speak. According to a Des Moines Register reporter, Carson asked the children who is the worst student in class, and several promptly complied, pointing out the slow learner.
Carson of course didn't expect the kids to respond so demonstratively. He was apparently just trying to make the point that he also was once the worst student in class, but look at him now! He's a world-renowned neurosurgeon running for president!

The 10-year-old took the incident in stride, according to The Hill. He said he wasn't embarrassed and that his feelings were not hurt.
Carson met with the boy after the rally and reportedly encouraged him to become a neurosurgeon.

She and her lunch table friends have been inviting girls that are picked on or ostracized by their classmates over to their table. Seriously. This was all on their own. Not bragging- I am a really lucky Dad.
