Ominous.
Trump: Kim Jong Un deserves credit for taking out rivals. The Hill
(You've) got to give him credit: How many young guys he was like 26 or 25 when his father died take over these tough generals and all of a sudden, you know, its pretty amazing when you think of it. How does he do that? he added.
Even though it is a culture, and its a culture thing, he goes in, he takes over, hes the boss. Its incredible. He wiped out the uncle, he wiped out this one, that one."
...
So hes gotta have something going for him, because he kept control, which is amazing for a young person to do, he added.

(58,785 posts)was something like $40 million back when that was YOOOGE. Like Baby Dictator, Trump just went in from the top of Dad's ladder, took over (in a manner of speaking), and he's boss.
What's interesting here is the complete lack of insight into the role of his and Baby Dictator's advantages, not to mention his own complete failure to match his dad's achievements. With Trump's positioning at the beginning of the enormous international growth in wealth that created the billionaire classes, he himself should be among the wealthiest billionaires on the planet, instead almost at the bottom of the list, with, what - is it 3 or 4 bankruptcies?

(17,320 posts)too far. This isn't going to end well for the U.S. or for Trump. He is very popular and he is as crazy as a loon. That's a bad combination.

(59,504 posts)As a leader of his dad's real estate empire and ignores that he got there by virtue of being the son, it is no wonder he does not see that happened with the Nk leader.
Could he almost be speaking of himself?

(1,192 posts)I wonder what kind of upbringing Trump had.
It looks like he beat his teacher when he was in high school, it looks liked he raped his first wife, and kept his ill nephew off of health care.
Just no redeeming qualities at all. Too much money can't have been the only thing. There must have been something seriously wrong with his parents' upbringing.

(15,049 posts)Imagine. Absolute power. Who to torture, who to screw, who lives, who dies. Total and absolute power. It seems that's what Trump wants. And given the ignorance of too many Americans, he may just get close to it.
I don't think this megalomaniac could actually get elected president. But given the past year, who the hell knows. President Caligula? Beyond scary.
