We have all heard or used the term 15 minutes of fame. However what would you say

the "fifteen minutes" really last?

Three months?

Six months?

12 months?

18 months?

I bring this up because a friend and I debated about this tonight. Think about Octo-mom we heard about her non-stop for a good 3 months. Joe the Plumber we heard about for a good 6 to 8 months constantly

Yes, these people we still see blimps on the "fame" meter but if you where to give an average in months. How long does a person get their fifteen minutes of fame or does it depend on each situation? like Jaycee Dugard who when she does make headlines it seems to be important or relevant and than she goes back to her private life. I am referring to her recent charity event.
