Is global warming a hoax now that the mid-Atlantic got slammed with a major blizzard?

I used to believe in global warming when temperatures were in the 70s in New York in December, but now I realize this is all a hoax.

(This poll/post is satirical FYI)

Forget those 60-70 degree weeks in December, global warming is a hoax

about how bodies in space radiate heat was wrong. It's clear now that carbon dioxide does not absorb energy in infrared wavelengths as we thought it did, and therefore has no effect on the earth's radiative balance.

depends basically on 3 things; the amount of incoming radiation (irradiance), the planetary reflectance (albedo), and the absorptivity/emmissivity of the atmosphere ("greenhouse gases&quot .

The amount of carbon dioxide in the earth's atmosphere has increased by more than 10% just since the 1950s and is climbing rapidly. Unless there is a sudden and prolonged dimming of the sun, it's going to get hotter.

The counter-factual statements in my earlier post were not serious. I should do a better job of identifying sarcasm.

then the snow will melt BUT it'll be below freezing at night, so the melted snow will freeze... and so it goes - we'll have a nice crop of potholes in the Spring.

it was below freezing....day and night.

Our heater broke down.

We were unprepared for the cold and we covered up with tons of clothing..and our animals were under those clothes as well.

Since my SIG Other is afraid of gas, we now heat by kerosene heaters, of which we have 3 to 5, and they can really heat up the house.

warming has staved off the next ice age and is the bestest thing ever--thank you Republicans and oil companies for protecting us!--we know that storms like this are warnings of what we'd be experiencing 24-7-365 in the absence of life-saving AGW. Amen!

The last time we had a global warming scenario was during the Viking Age. While they did not have thermometers then, there is a lot of literature and geological evidence of what happened then. Some areas benefited greatly as increased agricultural production led to the rise of the Vikings. Other societies such as the American southwest were devastated by the climatic changes and were crushed by drought. The Little Ice Age which followed (and which we are just climbing out of) destroyed Viking power and had a very negative effect on all of Europe.

Here in Denver, it hit 60 degrees today, but tomorrow there might be rain, and by evening, IT MIGHT CHANGE TO SNOW!!!

What more proof do you need than that?
