If you could get rid of one Republican candidate, right now, whom would it be?
Of course I choose Ted Cruz, the most dangerous candidate since Reagan.

(55 posts)Just seeing the one candidate whom would give us the most trouble in the general, and eliminating him from the list (or her).

(38,631 posts)On could say Romney or McCain was at least semi-reasonable but these people are off the charts. All are inherently dishonest too.
Cruz would not hesitate to nuke a country I am afraid. And then claim Jesus told him to do it.
Texas Blues
(55 posts)I should have made this clear, though it may not make a difference.
I said if you could get rid of one GOP candidate, I meant that if you could get rid of the one candidate whom would cause the most problems agains our candidate (preferably Sanders, but Clinton as well). I still would feel that Cruz would be the pick that would give us the most trouble, but wanted to make sure that it wasn't just a personal thing, but a pragmatic one that would give our candidate the best chance.

(50,130 posts)This is shocking, but I would rather see Jeb win than Cruz. Very shocking, because I hate the Bushes.
Texas Blues
(55 posts)If you believe Bush would have a better chance of losing to our candidate than Cruz, then Bush would be the choice. I myself feel that Cruz is our greatest threat in the general election (albeit still small).

Bush is trending low but he's still in the race, and anything can happen. Yuck.

(42,857 posts)I'll say Rubio.
And Jebbie is just wasting his time and his donors' money at this point.
Retrograde
(10,245 posts)I think Cruz is the most evil. Rubio seems like an empty suit: if he's the candidate he'll be controlled by the PTB. Cruz thinks for himself, which IMHO makes him more dangerous. So, yeah, Cruz.
