Should Grant county Sheriff Glenn Palmer be investigated or arrested for sedition?

from:

The group of leaders was on U.S. 395 bound for John Day, where they were scheduled to participate in an evening community meeting set up by local residents. A crowd of several hundred had gathered at the John Day Senior Center, who were subsequently told the "guest speakers" would not be appearing. Among those attending the meeting was Grant County Sheriff Glenn Palmer, who two weeks ago met with Payne and militant Jon Ritzheimer. He later publicly declared that Dwight Hammond Jr. and his son Steven should be freed from federal prison to help end the standoff. Palmer also has recommended that the FBI leave the Harney County scene and turn the matter to local police.

sedition defined: Conduct or speech inciting people to rebel against the authority of a state or monarch.

1. Absolutely! I think the fact that the clowns were headed to John

Day where Palmer would be might have been the final straw in the Feds taking action. Palmer's involvement with the group might have resulted in the rapid escallation in the group's activities and resulted in even greater danger to the community.

The citizens of his county cannot rely upon Palmer to perform the job that he holds because they cannot trust him to uphold the law and the US Constitution.

2. The language of code where the other "trespassers" have been charged.

Found in another thread here at DU:

18 U.S. Code 372 - Conspiracy to impede or injure officer

If two or more persons in any State, Territory, Possession, or District conspire to prevent, by force, intimidation, or threat, any person from accepting or holding any office, trust, or place of confidence under the United States, or from discharging any duties thereof, or to induce by like means any officer of the United States to leave the place, where his duties as an officer are required to be performed, or to injure him in his person or property on account of his lawful discharge of the duties of his office, or while engaged in the lawful discharge thereof, or to injure his property so as to molest, interrupt, hinder, or impede him in the discharge of his official duties, each of such persons shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than six years, or both.

Has Sheriff Palmer crossed the line into the bold?

In tend to agree with your post especially the last sentence.

5. I was impatient with the Feds in the speculation that copycat tresepasses

elsewhere could happen prior to a good conclusion in Harney county.

Was Sheriff Palmer facilitating another event?
