This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Goblinmonger (a host of the General Discussion forum).
After taking a beating on his Twitter feed, Capehart whined like a little that he was going to have to prune his account of trolls.
My first thought was, "Isn't that a case of the pot calling the kettle black, because it is." Matthews and Capehart, on national TV, did what they do daily: trolled Bernie Sanders and his supporters.
For some reason, the media believes they have a special place in commentary that makes them immune to trolling. For instance, to them, Capehart laughing with Matthews while describing Bernie's mannerisms as "jazz hands" is critical analysis when in fact, it's pure trolling.
Instead of retracting his lame piece, he played victim and accused others of trolling him. Capehart is a troll, Matthews is a troll, these guys need to understand what trolls do before they point their finger at others.

(45,319 posts)trolls, that 'jazz hands' crap was outlandishly nasty and they did all of that without having bothered to check the basic facts of their gossip. Horrible, unforgivable actions.
They must not be permitted to do that to Bernie nor to Danny Lyon because anyone could be next. Anyone. Lyon is not a candidate, had no involvement in this campaign and Matthews went after him with all the power of televised punditry just because Chris felt like doing so. Senator Joe McCarthy would be proud of them both.
If they could see my 'jazz hands' right now, they'd see on particular finger pointing directly up.

(3,447 posts)...comment on the topic of Capeheart was deleted, site-wide, and on almost every internet forum you could possibly find. In addition, 19 separate articles all appear within a day and a half, all announcing proudly that people don't need to listen to the words of you BernieBros, BernieBros are dead, Capeheart is right, and Bernie Sanders is a foul man because he allowed his 'angry white male trolls' on the internet to attack this innocent author! Oh, and they've made half a billion death threats, too, mostly from accounts that are unverified, brand new, have no profile or avatar attached, and only follow big names.
Welcome to GamerGate.

They see themselves as Walter Cronkite, when in reality they're Perez Hilton.

@CapehartJ Your due dilligence here is appreciated! I may not agree with the notion that this is not Sanders, but you've given room to doubt

(626 posts)Had to google "How do I see my tweet history?" to find the thread I posted in!
I have been on it for a year but have only sent out like 15 tweets. Thought it would be good for promoting my band/music stuff but all I do is troll political BS like this.....

(5,252 posts)Yeah, same. I create memes and post them to twitter and FB. I got into it during the #ResignRahm movement December past.

(8,175 posts)A MoveOn.org petition demanding that MSNBC suspend Hardball host Chris Matthews has garnered just under 10,000 signatures, even as the network has refused to address what Huffington Post called a clear conflict of interest.
The petition began in response to outrage over Matthews constant shilling for Hillary Clinton. The number of petition signees has almost tripled in size since The Daily Caller reported that Hillary Clintons biggest donors are bankrolling the congressional campaign of Matthews wife, Kathleen.
