John got the offer from HBO and Jon still didn't know when he'd retire so John took the HBO gig.

Still, I love her and hope the show is a big success.

She's much better on her own show than she got to be on TDS I think. And she was pretty good, but her show is sooooo good.

Everyone should watch it. It is pure gold. It needs to be on every night.

This is how she dealt with Republican obstructionism over Scalia's death:

She has hit the ground running and isn't afraid to push the limit in what she says. If I could have her and John Oliver all week, I'd be set.

But I think part of it's greatness is that it's just once a week. No filler, no weak supporting people, just one on-target blast after another. That's hard to do on a daily basis...

If it were on all week, though, I'd be watching

Is she another one who turned down The Daily Show?

Or do they just not know what the fuck they're doing over there at Comedy Central?

That clip made me laugh like TDS used to years ago. I'll have to keep an eye out for more of her show.

Larry Wilmore and John Oliver have two good shows too.
