Magazine depicts brown hands grabbing at white woman

One of Poland’s most popular weekly magazines has splashed a graphic depiction of the rape of Europe’s women by migrants on its front cover. The image may be one of the most politically incorrect illustrations of the migrant crisis to date.

While Poland is generally much more relaxed about expressing itself than the self censoring tendencies of western and northern Europe, the cover of the latest wSieci (The Network) conservative magazine has already prompted reaction just 24 hours after release, being beamed around the continent by social media.

Featuring a personification of Europa being pawed at by dark hands — what the German media would perhaps euphemistically term “southern” or “Mediterranean” — the headline decries the “Islamic Rape of Europe”

ETA: first paragraph of cover article.

Opening the cover article, Aleksandra Rybinska writes: “The people of old Europe after the events of New Year’s Eve in Cologne painfully realised the problems arising from the massive influx of immigrants. The first signs that things were going wrong, however, were there a lot earlier. They were still ignored or were minimised in significance in the name of tolerance and political correctness”.

Odd. Cologne prosecutor Ulrich Bremer said that of the 59 suspects pinpointed so far, just four are from war-torn countries (Syria and Iraq).

It refers to "Islamic rape on Europe," and to the best of my knowledge all of the suspects are Muslim.

A fact which apparently cannot be repeated too often. It doesn't seem to stick.

"conservative magazine" in Poland which is governed by the far-right which loves to play up the fear of Muslims.

While Poland is generally much more relaxed about expressing itself than the self censoring tendencies of western and northern Europe ...

The right everywhere is certainly "more relaxed" about depictions of white women being attacked by non-whites. I wonder why that is. I suppose the more liberal "western and northern Europe" need to unleash their inner KKK and play up such attacks.

The Breitbart article hits all the RW talking points regarding Muslim refugees in Europe: "‘Does Europe Want to Commit Suicide?’, ‘The Hell of Europe’ and 'clash of two civilisations'. Conservatives love to envision the collapse of liberal Europe.

The magazine also had strong words for German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who it accuses of listening more to the German industrial lobby which it claims campaigns for cheap labour from outside the European Union.

Conservatives (like those at this Polish magazine and Breitbart) cannot understand how liberals can welcome refugees. In their minds it must come down to money.

itself than the self censoring tendencies of western and northern Europe". A highly conservative person might think that, but Poland is one of the most repressive countries in Europe, self expression is dangerous for LGBT and other minorities. They have a very right wing government and a very conservative Catholicism influencing what is in fact an uptight and bigoted culture.

What Breitbart is saying is 'Poland is more willing to say bigoted things about minorities than most of Europe and even this has bothered them'.

Polish magazine's 'Islamic rape of Europe' cover sparks outrage

Some Twitter users compare image in wSieci, for article referring to Cologne sex assaults,
to Nazi propaganda

A Polish magazine has published a highly inflammatory front cover showing a white woman being assaulted by three pairs of dark-skinned male hands under the headline “The Islamic rape of Europe”.

The cover of this week’s edition of wSieci (the Network), a mass-market politically conservative magazine, triggered outraged responses on social media. Some Twitter users compared the image to Nazi propaganda.
