but when someone tries to put someone on the spot, this is wrong. We hear all the republican candidates lie and no one says anything, ask Hillary if she has ever lied and they jump all over that! I was watching "Morning Joke" and they hounded her for a whole segment about her interview on CBS. Everyone who follow the political landscape know that truth is one word away from holding office or falling from grace. The media has played a huge part in the "gotch ya" moment. Just saying? There was a show "Truth or Consequence" which I think there are no consequences for the republicans and the truth cost the dems' their political clout?

(3,343 posts)You think potential Presidents shouldn't be "put on the spot"?
And if it's obvious to you that everyone lies, why would someone who has been caught lying so publicly in the past pretend she's never lied even once.
That's mental illness or something.

(16,181 posts)I am saying the republican can get away with lie after lie, but they never pay the consequence for their lies. No, it is not "mental" more like an observation. I am not standing up for Hillary, I don't trust her, but I have yet to hear the media ask any republicans that same question?

(3,343 posts)I mean the GOP have been having the daily insinuations from all the candidates that all the other candidates are liars.
The thing is... The voters think their candidate is honest and the rest dishonest. Lol

(978 posts)In a country with a REAL justice system and not the cangaroo court that is the US; With the corrupt court system that is today;
None of today's GOP candidates nor Hillary would be running for president.
They would never have tried.
Hillary would be in the dock together with Dick&George for war crimes and crimes against humanity...
REAL statesmen would be running for president. In other words, in today's climate, Bernie at this stage would be running alone..perhaps against John Kasich on the other side.

(16,926 posts)The willingness to be less than honest is at the root of ethics violations, corruption, illegal war-faring, and everything else that will get politicians and America into yet more trouble. If you are unable to withstand being "put on the spot", forgo the campaign.

(12,704 posts)In regards to the Democratic primary, Hillary has been getting 80% more airtime than Bernie which clearly indicates M$M's bias. To offset this blatant favoritism, they occasionally corner her but that this is an exception not the rule.
As for the repubs, you're spot on. M$M's velvet glove approach is reprehensible.
