To the mooks who vote for Trump:

You have ZERO idea what he really believes. He mirrors what you want to hear and can change with the audience. That's why you like him. He validates you.

You say he is not beholden to anyone because he has his own money. I'll leave aside how he got his money and how much he really has. Do you geniuses not realize he isn't beholden to you either? He might take a flier and support Planned Parenthood or appoint an Al Sharpton to some position. Then what?

Don't think you can threaten to not vote or him again. He has great confidence in himself. He will believe that at the next election he can once again con you into voting or him. He probably can.

He is the ultimate con. You are the ultimate marks.

No offense, but this site isn't the place to post this. With the exception of the lurking Freeper here, the slumming-but-not-wised-up Republican there, and paid Koch-roaches scurrying behind the wainscoting, the overwhelming majority of us are varying shades of committed Democrats.

May I suggest something like the Discussionist? It's a lot more politically-diverse, how edit not necessarily as well-behaved.

I am posting this to those outside of DU. It is for people here to see what I think of those who do vote or him and their mindset.
I really didn't need another lecture.

Scrape off the shallow frosting that makes Trump so appealing to people who have weak critical thinking skills, and he is just the current version in a long line of Republican rabble rousers that have bolted from reality on a chorus of populist fantasies. From the likes of Palin, Gingrich, Perry, Cain, Buchanan, and now Trump these are the troglodyte cast members from "Idiocracy". Trump's followers demand miracles along with their quest for validation, and expect him to roll back time and magically make them rich, feared, and attractive to women if he would only promise to restore their flaccid impotence.
