So apparently Trump has no idea who David Duke and the KKK are.

I happened to turn on CNN this morning just when Jake Tapper was interviewing Trump.

He noted that David Duke and other white nationalists had endorsed him and spoken out in favor of him, and asked him if he would publicly reject and condemn their support of him.

That should be like putting a ball on a tee in front of Mike Trout and asking him to swing away.

But it was Donald Trump.

He danced around the question, saying he had no idea who the people and groups speaking out in favor of him were and couldn't reject them.

Tapper pressed further, asking specifically about Duke and the KKK.

Trump's response: I'll have to do specific research into them and get back to you, because I don't know who they are.

Honest to God. He can't reject anyone's support of him. His ego won't allow it.

He'll normally never skip a beat to Mean Tweet an insult about the NY Daily News if they have a cover that criticizes him.

Oddly enough, he skipped that one.

He his lived a very narrow existence with his full focus on the "Art of the Deal", i.e. real estate deal.

I imagine that his skills as a real estate entrepreneur are exceptional, thus the financial success. But, that narrow focus in no way qualifies him for political leadership.

His experiences in business have trained him in the art of conning people.

I can't believe he let Trump get away with saying he doesn't know what the KKK is. I think Tapper knows if he pushes too hard, Trump might refuse to come on again and there goes their ratings. Very scary and sad. Journalist, my foot. How the heck do these people get shows. Come to think of it, why are all of CNN's Sunday shows hosted by men? Fareed Zakaria, I actually like his show though, the media one with the bald guy, then Tapper's show. There's also MTP with that blowhard Chuck Todd, blech.

What I was surprised about was hearing later on from republican reps that the GOP disavows the KKK. I honestly did not realize that. Even with that, I feel GOP is just like Trump. They say one thing but wink, wink and nudge nudge. I feel the GOP embraces white supremacy no matter what they say. I just can't believe others don't see it.

He is not stupid, but the appearance of stupidity is one of his greatest assets. People will underestimate him, laugh at him, mock him. They won't take him seriously until he has the nomination... then they won't take him seriously again, until, perhaps, he is sitting in the oval office.

Trump and the people who work for him know about google. They know what the KKK is. They know who David Duke is. They're not going to come out and reject or denounce a large number of people who are supporting the Trump campaign.

Don't be fooled by his apparent ignorance. This man knows exactly what he's doing.

Whilst I understand some of the machinations of the team behind trump do you not think it is offensive to anyone's intelligence that he outright denied he did not know who these groups/people were. The only reason he played dumb is because of the huge number of trump supporters in these ranks.

Is Trump to achieve his goal by any means necessary, so on Monday he will accept one group of people and on Tuesday accept another group of people from a completely different stance.

It just seems that anything will be done and said to win. So how do you know what he stands for when he seems to be prostituting his own ideals for whoever will vote for him.
