So, how long until President Trump gets impeached, and what does he do that gets him thrown out?

With Democratic voter apathy and Trump's frothy base of scared and mean voters, it's almost a sure thing that we'll be stuck with Trump...until he gets impeached.

So what does he do, and how long does it take?

I'll give him 6 months before he's tossed out.

And btw who is going to be his VP?

The GOP finally is realizing it. and they are thinking of running a third party attempt to stop this. If they do... they will save Democratic bacon ass. There are legalities that might stop them... blessed be their hearts, after Perot they made it that much difficult to run an independent challenge in the GE.

I gotta wonder if this will lead to our cold civil war finally going hot as well.

This happens in nearly EVERY presidential election.

Biden said that Obama was not ready to be president (among other criticism).

Obama attacked Hillary's foreign policy for her vote on the Iraq war and then made her secretary of state (obviously a back room deal to get her back off the Super Delegate risk).

George HW Bush called Reaganomics "Voodoo economics".

This goes on ALL the time.

Trump will choose Kasich, which will ensure Ohio goes to the GOP against Clinton.

Trump already has the South locked up. Locked. Up. He has the redneck vote completely locked up. Anywhere there are a lot of rural voters, they'll be coming out in droves to vote for Trump because he knows how to appeal to them. Before the election even starts, Trump will win North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Texas, Oklahoma, North Dakota, South Dakota, Kansas, Utah, Montana, Arkansas, Missouri, and he'll make a very strong push for Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Virginia. In fact, I'll bet that Trump takes Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Virginia, and the election will come down to Florida. And you sure as hell don't want that happening again.

People said the same thing about Ronald Reagan. Surely people wouldn't vote for that kind of lightweight. Surely people would vote for someone of substance. Nope. Elected, and elected again in the biggest wipeout in electoral history. Spawned the Bush family dynasty. 30 fucking years of neocon policies. You don't think the country is stupid enough to elect Trump? Think again. The only way to prevent it is for Democrats to get off their asses, get motivated, unify behind whomever wins the nomination, and get the fucking vote out in record numbers - because the goddamn idiocracy is coming for us. Right. NOW.

His nomination will fracture the repub party. Already there are folks coming out and arguing that if he gets the nomination, repub voters should hold their nose and vote for the Democratic candidate.

There will a concerted effort to make supporting Trump the most uncool thing around.

There is a simple reason that the elected repub officials endorsing him are almost all folks who are not going to be running for anything in 2016 (like Christie or Brewer) or are in totally safe seats (Sessions, who got over 90 percent of the vote in his last race).

I'm in DC and repubs here are scared shitless about a Trump candidacy. He's the third rail. Rubio supporters hate him as do Cruz supporters. And while some may hold their noses and vote for Trump, others will simply sleep in on election day or vote for Clinton based on the cover that will be given them by republican columnists like Kathleen Parker, Jennifer Rubin, and probably even George Will.

Which means he doesn't currently have the support of 60 percent of the repub voters. And there will be a measurable number of those 60 percent who will not support Trump after he's trashed their candidates.

They may not vote for the Democrat, but a bunch of them will stay home. Enough for a Democrat to win Tennessee? Unlikely. But in other more purple states -- the states that ultimately determine the outcome -- you bet it could swing the outcome to either Bernie or Clinton.

He always gets 30%. That means 70% don't want him. If that 70% hasn't yet supported him, why would they if it were down to two people? Anyway, a candidate needs 50% to be the nominee. If none of them get that, it will go to a brokered convention and the delegates will decide. Rumor has it they will put up Paul Ryan because as Speaker of the House, he is the highest ranking republican.

Trump voters are highly motivated. They're coming out in record numbers. If Hillary wins the nomination, you'll see Bernie voters staying home in a fit of poutrage. If Bernie somehow wins the election, you'll see Hillary voters staying home in a fit of poutrage. It's because there are way too many Democratic voters who are too fucking stupid to see that Trump would surpass W as the worst president in history. There ought to be record numbers of Democrats out there. Instead, it's whine, whine, whine, apathy. I'm just gonna take my vote and go home. I read a reply post in another thread that they couldn't return the "Sexual Harasser In Chief" to the White House. Hey, the 90's called. They want Ken Starr back. Seriously, fuck that moron. That's just the kind of thing that will put Trump in the White House. It's because, as Bill Maher said, "People need to learn the difference between an imperfect friend and a deadly enemy." And our party is too goddamn dumb to do that.

Neither Bernie nor Hillary will blow Trump out of the water. It's gonna be close, and the Rust Belt states will be in play -- there's a significant, disproportionate number of working-class white voters in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin. Trump's shtick could play well in the region...and that means 64 electoral votes are up for grabs.

He wanted to make sure that Hillary's supporters moved to Obama quickly. That's what they always do. Doesn't matter how severely they attack each other...both want the same thing....a democratic president.
