We sometimes forget how the Supreme Court has shaped so much of our lives. We remember Roe v Wade, and last year's confirmation of marriage - regardless of gender.

But there were Brown v. Board of Education declaring that segregated schools are not equal.

Gideon v. Wainwright - the right for an attorney even if you cannot afford one

Miranda v. Arizona - we all know about "Miranda's right"

Loving v. Virginia - right for interracial marriage

Lawrence v. Texas - right of same sex people for consensual sex.
