Prepare to vomit. A High Schooler braves the stupid to go see Donald Trump

http://www.tallahassee.com/story/opinion/2016/03/01/tallahassee-high-schooler-reflects-trump-rally/81159938/

That motherfucker is now targetting Chinese and Japanese. . .expect words like another Chinese Exclusion Act of 1883. My wife is a Chinese national getting her green card. I will not let anyone fuck her out of it, especially not a crusted piece of shit like that.

Fuck these primaries on our side. I am a Bernie man, but Donald is a bigger threat. No REpbulican will gain office on my vote ever. Remember that, people. Bernie people/Hillary people, this man is dangerous.

After the primary, lick your wounds and unite to keep him out!

I would LOVE to know why The Donald met with the CLintons before the campaigns began, and what they discussed.
The bottom line about D. Drumpf is that he'll do literally ANYTHING that: 1) feeds his ego, and 2) brings him tons of money.
I'm certain he'd drop out in a heartbeat if the Clintons OR the Republican party offered him enough money. And since the money and PTB in this country stand to benefit mightily under either the Clintons or Drumpf, ...........

My two cents.

So much crap going around about the Clintons yet NO proof of any of it! Stories that people can choose to believe or not.

If they did half the stuff they are accuse of, they'd be living on some south sea island avoiding prison time...not out there running for president.

I saw my first "Impeach Clinton" bumper sticker less that a month after Bill was sworn in. We know now that some of the men trying to impeach him over a BJ were having affairs while they were doing it. The right has been out to get them from day ONE.

Chinese and Japanese from our economy, and getting rid of Common Core. Not once did I hear how any of this was going to happen. There was zero mention of policy.

He seemed less presidential than anyone we could pick off the street. He used curse words, condemned international leaders like the Pope and Mexican president, and spoke of how greed is a good thing.

But I was surrounded by more bigotry and hate than ever before. Standing side by side with 10,000 other people who – on the outside – seemed so similar to me, but who devoured every hate-filled word spoken to them made me feel ashamed and isolated. I really did lose some faith in humanity.

Outside, vendors sold memorabilia with slogans like “Bomb the hell out of ISIS” accompanied by pictures of Muslims on fire and “KFC Hillary Special 2 Fat Thighs 2 Small Breasts 1 Left Wing.” Everything was red, white and blue, but it was less patriotism and more bigoted supremacism.

We all share this high school students revulsion with what she saw and heard. The only good thing to come out of this is that she has seen the true face of the republican party, something many of her friends have willingly not seen.

I agree about uniting after our primary. I much prefer Bernie. The drop off from him to Hillary is IMHO significant. But the drop off from her to Donald or Marco or Ted would be like falling off a cliff - a huuuuuuuuge cliff.

Sitting out the election because you didn't get your perfect candidate is juvenile and irresponsible.

It's people voting for Nader instead of Gore or not voting at all, that got us Bush, a war and a tanked economy.

The republican party is totally corrupt. Best to stand firm and wait for them to self-destruct.

Put you ego aside and vote with your brain.

out of school at that time. It's as if it never happened, excepts to those who had to live through that nightmare. On Edit, I have to say to the OP, what did you think was going to happen? Many of us life long Dems saw this coming, it was a white supremacist/KKK/ wet dream ticket and we thought they were bad when they Swift Boated John Kerry. They were just getting warmed up and have had 8 years of unfettered access to the media via Fox and the Tea Party. They are the danger, not Hillary or Bernie. I wish all of your Bernie supporters could see what you see and what you fear. It's personal now. Let's work together to make sure this never happens.

Gore actually got more of the popular vote. But it shouldn't have been that close. Too many people voted for Nader which served absolutely no purpose. Not voting mainstream doesn't make you an intellectual. It's a wasted vote.

Saying that Gore was entitled to all of Naders voters and people that didnt vote is antidemocratic. It's Gore's fault he didn't earn those votes, not the voters fault.

"Horrible". I'm sure that will change. When he first joined the campaign clown car, I snickered under my breath. Now, I have seen the horrible face of unleashed bigotry and I am aghast at what our nation still contains and now feels comfortable parading around the porch.

Along with the fawning butt kissing by a corporate media that will be basically ordered to treat Trump with kid gloves while taking the hammer to any Dem.

The power of the media, especially TV, to create unreal images is incredible.

http://elections.huffingtonpost.com/pollster/donald-trump-favorable-rating

58.2% unfavorable
36.5% favorable

Trump is ONLY winning their nomination because it is him against the rest of the candidates. If either Cruz or Rubio dropped out, he'd be toast. Ted and Marco are vying for the same base (As is Kasich and Carson). If it weren't for the Trump/everyone else dynamic he'd be behind.

Let's look at the %'s of his support:
Iowa he lost with only 24%
New Hampshire he won, but with only 35%
South Carolina he won, but with only 32%
Nevada he won, but with 45%
Alaska he lost with only 33%
Alabama 43%
Arkansas 32%
Georgia 38%
Massachusetts: 49%
Minnesota Rubio won and Trump pulled 21%
Oklahoma Cruz won and trump pulled 28%
Tennessee Trump won with 39%
Texas Cruz won, and trump only pulled 27%
Vermont 33%
Virginia 35%

To me this very accurately reflects his ACTUAL favorable rating with Republicans. Only 3 states has he broken 40%, and has been below 30% in 2 of them.

If you were to combine Rubio/Cruz in most, he would be FAR behind now, and I fully expect when one of them drops out they will not endorse Trump, they'll endorse the other establishment one and take their delegates with them.

Trump is currently in the lead with 319 delegates, but if you just combine Rubio/Cruz that's 336 delegates.

Maybe it's the optimist in me, but I fully believe either of our candidates will absolutely TROUNCE Trump in a general run.

Of the states that have gone so far, only a few of them really mater (electoral college wise) in the general.

Iowa is a swing state - it went to Cruz.
Virginia is a blue leaning swing state - It went to trump but with only 34%. I honestly can't imagine Virginia going Trump over either of our candidates.

The 2 "king maker" giants of the swing votes are still to be done yet. Ohio and Florida will be huge tells.

I am 100% with you though about how important that he is NOT the next POTUS. Good god, especially if we don't get the Senate back as well.. ACA is gone and my marriage will likely be voided, huge numbers of families will be broken up and deportations will become a human rights catastrophe... just to name the first few.

Tom Ridge, later Romney and more will come out to denounce Trump.

I would bet he won't be the candidate come November.

One good thing that came from Trump...he exposed the extreme racism that still exists in this country.
