Curious if anyone else is watching House of Cards.

I am, and so far the current season is really good. Otoh, I wonder, given the current state of real world politics if there's much appetite for such a dark political show.

Compared to what's going on in the real political arena, it's sweetness and light.

5. Does this series make the dems look as bad as the GOP? Because that would annoy me. Nt

Lately I've been getting hooked on all kinds of older BBC series, but I haven't watched any episodes of this one. Do you think it's worth buying off ebay?

Very British in tone- both versions are kinda tongue in cheek but you get more of that sense with the British series. And of course the political systems are very different so how he manipulates things varies. I liked it.

The main character is a power hungry politician and his wife. On the show he's a conservative Dem- but his politics are secondary really to the political machinations. The few good guys on the show tend to be Dems, and liberal ones at that fwiw. But then we haven't really seen too many Republicans. It's more the inside-the-party battles. But no, I don't particularly get the "they're as bad as Repugs" vibe. Ymmv.

I admit it's not everyone's cup of tea.

Planned to watch and, then, forgot about the date when the current season began.

Looks like I'll be spending less time online for a couple days.

Trump does things that Frank Underwood would not dare to do.
