we are fucked in terms of getting much done....beyond mitigating beaucoup damage proposed....
as that will be the only avenue we have......and the only thing much that the WH can do!

WE NEED IT ALL, AND IF WE WANT IT BADLY ENOUGH, WE CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN.

IT TRULY IS UP TO US....
start attacking Republicans relentlessly...
AND I SUGGEST THAT WE OCCUPY THE FUCKING VOTING BOOTH
come election day!

because again, if WE want it bad enough, we could get her done!
If we predict the opposite of what we should want, then it means that we don't really
want it badly enough an entire year out.

This could be our only way of ensuring an honest vote. I believe that is what shut down the recount. A small group of shouters. We've got a nation of voices and eyes.

Well said. We should make "Occupy Voting Booth" the rallying cry for 2012 and I think that we can both agree that those votes will NOT be going to the Republicans.

Republicans with both houses of congress (and currently the SCOTUS) can do damage...even against one man and his veto pen. Currently we see the situation, and we can't simply accept a worse situation, and giving them the senate will surely make things much worse.

We are a year out of the elections, there is no reason that we can't get done what we need done to save ourselves from ourselves. To work for anything less is being a part of the problem, IMO.

a candidate to the right of her who could win in this liberal state.

What Republican who would oppose her could possibly win?

A lot of Republicans like Feinstein.

She could probably win without spending a lot on her campaign if that is what you are thinking about.

1. President Obama will be reelected president against Mitt Romney.

doubtful. The electoral map has turned about 6 electoral votes MORE DIFFICULT for a DEM with the latest Census. Here's my prediction map for 2012. Romney takes it with 272 Electoral Votes. In addition to the 272 EV's I think he will carry ONE of these 3: Iowa, CO or NH. Between the economy, unemployment (despite the cooked numbers), assorted scandals and general malaise... Obama can only win if the Pub nominee is a Grade A D-Bag like Gingrich, Santa, Paul, Bachman or Palin.

http://www.270towin.com/2012_election_predictions.php?mapid=eEq

2. As for the Electoral College, he will lose Indiana and North Carolina, but will pick up Arizona.

Sorry I just can't see it. Arizona is precisely a Romney kinda state...

3. Georgia and Texas will be surprisingly close.

I see where you're going with this... but your eyeglasses are awfully rosey... the Minority voter turnout will be modest and you will only be proved right if your definition of "close" means 10% -ish

4. Republicans will narrowly capture the Senate, but Elizabeth Warren will beat Scott Brown.

AGREED!! Add the Nelson seat to the Pubs booty this November. And YES Warren takes out brown, possibly the best piece of news to come out of the whole 2012 elections.

5. Democrats will make moderate gains in the House and Boehner will be out as Speaker.

I tentatively agree... the Tea Bag bulge that currently exists in the House will disappear. So I see the Pub majority shrinking by 5-6 seats.

6. WI Governor Scott Walker and Oakland Mayor Jean Quan will be recalled'

AGREED!!

7. Dianne Feinstein will have a closer than usual reelection in California.

I don't know where you got this one from... the Pubs can't put forth a decent option.

8. Republicans will take the Governorship of Washington State.

lol possibly... they've been trying for long enuff!

9. Michigan will repudiate governor Rick Snyder and Democrats will make significant gains in the State House.

I'm not too up on Mi politics but I'll buy it!

10. Wayne County, MI Executive Robert Ficano will resign.

I have no idea bout this one

I wouldn't call it wishful thinking... my wishful thinking involves a former First Lady lol and that's not gonna happen.

But I am very thorough in my thought process and I've literally played the click and think game for hours at the electoral map website. We'll see... I'll bookmark this post )

Your being too kind to Romney.CNN just had poll where It went from Romney+4 to Obama+6

Now I agree Romney can win NH.Romney has moved so far to right. He supported law In MS that would ban ABortions, and Birth
control. He supports the Ryan plan for ending Medicare. He supports antiunion laws that was set back by voters In Ohio.

Romney has given Obama plenty of video to use against him.His time In Business could be sleeping giant In this election against
him.Plus unemployment has gone down, and there are signs of recovery.

Some have scorfed at me saying Christie could be running mate for romney.Remember Christie Is popular among Republicans.
Romney Isn't very popular. Some wanted Christie to run for president. He Is likely done In NJ In 2013.And would do well as attack
dog against Obama. He Is very mean Spirted.

Here's my feel on Romney and the Pubs. Right now 3/4 of Pubs say "no way I vote for that flip-floppin rino mormon"

After the primary... it's "Well he's our guy now... the socialist Kenyan's gotta go!"

So right now the polls are skewed BECAUSE of the "undecided or Other" option. EVERYONE who is going to vote for Obama KNOWS it today. The undecided's are Pubs that hate Romney or Gingrich or Santorum or Bachmann. They WILL unify behind the party Pub nominee no matter who it is... ESPECIALLY if its someone as milquetoast as Willard.

This election will be more like 2000-2004 with tight contests and the election hanging on 2-3 states.

1. Barack Obama is re-elected somewhat comfortably, as Republicans continue to make fools of themselves in the House. Although it's a "plug your nose" vote for many independents, he wins every state he won in 2008 except Indiana, North Carolina, and New Hampshire.

2. Mitt Romney is completely unable to connect with voters, in large part thanks to him flip-flopping back to the center after flip-flopping to the fringe right.

3. Donald Trump announces a 2012 run, but cancels three days later.

4. Romney picks Chris Christie as his VP candidate.

5. Democrats narrowly win back the House, and retain a small majority in the Senate.

6. I'm with you on Rick Snyder, he will face a solidly Democratic House in Michigan.

7. The recall efforts for Scott Walker come close to succeeding, but intimidation by the Wisconsin Republican Party prevents it from happening.

8. Ben Nelson is replaced by another DINO.

Obama can pick up Arizona and Texas will be close.

New Hampshire will be competitive, Obama should take the state as New England is no longer Republican territory.

Democrats retake the House and hold the Senate.
