.........."But if you believe we can all rise together, if you believe we've finally come to the point where we can put the awful legacy of the last eight years behind us and the seven years before that where we were practicing trickle-down economics with no regulation in Washington, which is what caused the crash, then you should vote for her. Because she's the only person who basically has good ideas, will tell you how she's going to pay for them, can be commander-in-chief, and is a proven change maker with Republicans and Democrats and Independents alike."
I realize she needs to distance herself from Barak on some issues but wow, "the awful legacy of the last eight years"?? Really??

(38,613 posts)But only if a Clinton does it. If Sanders does it, he's still an evil man who hates Obama viscerally.

Even if he believed that, and he doesnt, he would NEVER say it.,
I am sure Bill thinks Hillary could get more done, and she probably could, she is white.

(9,704 posts)I am saying the Dems had the House majority for 2 of those 8 years.
You are probably right that he is referring to the obstruction, but this nuance does make it seem as though he is bashing Obama, not the Republicans. Besides, what will Hillary do about Republican obstruction? How will electing her end it? Will she move even further to the right than Obama did in order to "get things done"? I wonder about that.

(1,545 posts)all I get are far right sites like the Standard and Breitbart.
I wonder why so many "Sanders supporters" read those sites so much.

I would like to be able to verify that this is true (and verify the context) prior to commenting. It makes me nervous when only very far right wing stuff has the story.
I googled the Bill Clinton quote and my results were the ickiest of the ick sites ....
Clinton has made comments like this before but they were all directed at the obstruction of the congress and not Obama ... I would like to see if the far right reporting is accurate ...?
