We have monthly contests--topics vary--and Seasonal Contests. The winner of this March contest will set the theme
and run the April Contest. The next seasonal contest will be for Spring and submissions will begin June 1.

I've never seen a word about how to post an entry. Is this a closed DU group or something?

Usually, a thread is also posted in GD and The Lounge announcing an upcoming photo contest.

Example: as host for this March contest I posted a thread in Photography group which provided the
links in GD and The Lounge announcing the contest and asking members to keep those

Submission threads are held open for a week or until 30 photos (limit) are submitted. This time, we filled
our 30 slots in less than a week.

We also have Seasonal contests. The next seasonal contest will be Spring and the submission thread
will open for that on June 1st (specified in contest rules of the Photography group).

The winner of this month's contest will host the next contest--April--so watch the Photography group
for an announcement about that in terms of theme and date Submissions will be opened.
