On Newt's Virginia ballot flub:
MITT: I think he compared that to, uh, was it Pearl Harbor? I think
it's more like Lucille Ball at the chocolate factory.
Newt responds in Wolf interview:
NEWT: I have a very simple message for Mitt Romney. I'll meet
him anywhere in Iowa, for 90 minutes, just the two us, in a debate,
with a timekeeper, no moderator. I'd love to have him say that to my
face.

(3 posts)Dem's sound like fightin' words!!! Will it be on pay-per-view? I'm still waiting for Herman's House, the reality series. The GOP is in such a state the whole party is a comedy series.

(82,849 posts)Just a couple of simple guys, routinely betting $10,000 on shit that doesn't matter a fart in a frying pan. Plenty more for each man where that came from should he lose. Too bad the rest of you didn't choose to be obscenely wealthy through unscrupulous methods. Now, vote for one of them!

(7,632 posts)I can't stop thinking of this every time I see Wolf, too. Wolf should fire his agent for letting him demonstrate his ignorance to the whole world. I guess if he had any brains he would have...oh yeah, I forget.
And finally, is Wolf that dumb or is Andy Richter just a genius?

(60,968 posts)is devastating. The only problem is that it was 1950s TV. I don't know how many here have even heard of it. (In fact, it is funny to think of the rather slow, chubby Newt, eating large numbers of the chocolates because he can't keep up with the line. )
From the video of Romney - all I can say is someone gave him the line - it just does not seem spontaneous.

(14,350 posts)Say something like it being an honor to be compared to Lucille Ball or that it sure can feel like that on the campaign trail with everything heating up and then move on like it's not worth more time.
This shows how neither is presidential material. Biden would have made a great joke out of it, Hilary would have smiled and said something gracious with a bit of zing, Obama would have laughed it off and moved on, but no, these two have to make the lame joke and the even lamer response. What idiots.
